Tina Margareta Nilssen is a classical pianist who participates in the opening performance together with Arve Tellefsen.
Tina has received rave reviews from national and international critics for both her solo CD and the three CD recordings with Dena Piano Duo. On the solo recording you can hear Grieg’s sonata, 5 pieces by Signe Lund, and Beethoven’s sonata! Appassionata »op.57. The first two recordings with Dena Piano Duo are with all works by Mozart and Grieg for two piano. Dena Piano Duo’s third CD “Hommage à Grieg” with release in 2013 includes works by Brahms, Saint-Säens, Wolfgang Plagge and Terje Bjørklund.
Tina’s concert activities include a number of solo and duo concerts in Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, England, USA, Russia and Italy. She has performed at several festivals and concert series at home and abroad and has been a soloist with orchestras in piano concerts by Bach, Mozart, Grieg, Beethoven and Gerschwin. Musicians she has played duo concerts with include Arve Tellefsen, Johannes Martens, Stine Rem Aarønes, Daniel Dalnoki, Heide Görtz, Beate Mordal, Christian Ihle Hadland and Ingrid Andsnes.
The studies as a classical pianist have Tina from the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo (Jens Harald Bratlie) where she took her Master’s degree in solo / chamber music, NTNU Institute of Music (Jørgen Larsen), Barratt Due Music Institute (Jiri Hlinka) where she took her Bachelor and one years of Erasmus exchange at the Universität der Künste in Berlin (Heide Görtz).
Tina has received a number of scholarships and scholarships from, among others, the Fund for Performing Artists, RWE-Dea, Janson’s Scholarship and a two-year work scholarship from the Statens Kunstnerstipend.
